It's safe to say that I've tried cabinets full of hair products in my lifetime, and I have never found a single one that's worked miracles on my hair until I tried Kenra Professional hair products.
How and why, you may ask? Just keep reading to find out!
The Kenra Moisturizing Shampoo claims to restore moisture and soften dry and damaged hair, manage coarse and textured hair, and is colour-safe, while the Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner is said replenish moisture, improve elasticity, eliminate tangles, add shine, and is colour-safe. The Kenra Volume Dry Shampoo is believed to absorb oil and impurities and instantly refresh hair at the roots.
The Kenra Perfect Blowout 5 claims to provide thermal protection up to 450 F (232 C), increase volume, enhance shine, and tame frizz, while the Kenra Volume Mousse Extra 17 is said to be non-drying and non-flaking and provides styling control without stiffness or stickiness.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MY HAIR
Ever since my teenage years, I've been searching high and low for hair products that will strengthen my very damaged hair. I've colour-treated my hair since I was sixteen, worked full-time in a swimming pool, underwent a perm, and bleached my hair to blonde, so you can image just how dry and damaged the ends of my hair are looking. Not to mention, I have fine oily roots that won't even stay clean for two days (what a nightmare, right?) I've never found the right products to improve the condition of my hair. That is, until I tried Kenra Professional.
Kenra Moisturizing Shampoo (CAD $18.69)
Every moisturizing shampoo I've ever tried has weighed my hair down, made it heavy and quite truthfully, sticky. When I wash it out, my hair is left tangly and difficult to comb through, even with conditioner. However, with this Kenra shampoo, there is no heavy or sticky residue left behind, even if it is a moisturizing shampoo. Washing it out is a dream come true because my hair not tangly whatsoever, and is so SO smooth and soft. The best part about this shampoo is that it has great control of the oils on my scalp. I wash my hair every other day, and by the second day, the roots are already flat and oily. After using the Kenra shampoo, my roots are still squeaky clean and voluminous the second day.
Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner (CAD 18.69)
Conditioners have long since stopped working on my damaged ends. Even after leaving a conditioner in my ends for five minutes, they still end up being tangled after washing the conditioner out. The Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner is thick in texture and feels more like a hair mask than a conditioner. I leave it on my ends for about three minutes, and when I wash it out, my hair is super soft. My hair is left untangled (both when wet and dry) and the ends feel a lot softer and even look less damaged.
Kenra Volume Dry Shampoo (CAD $20.93)
Another AMAZING product by Kenra! Long story short, I am extremely picky with my dry shampoos - I don't want them to be thick, sticky, and powdery nor do I want them to leave a white cast. I've tried too many dry shampoos that weighed my hair down and actually made my hair look more greasy than it really was. This Kenra one, however, is so lightweight, it feels like water is being sprayed out of the can. My roots are so much more voluminous and clean after application. Most importantly, it doesn't leave a white and sticky residue on my scalp.
Kenra Perfect Blowout 5 (CAD $20.93)
This is a great product to use before blow-drying or straightening your hair. I rub a dime-sized dollop onto the ends when my hair is just slightly damp, then use whichever heating tool I choose that day, and I'm left with soft and shiny hair. How do I know this product works? Typically, after using a straightener, the ends of my hair are dry and brittle. However, after using this product, my ends are left to be even softer than before!
Kenra Volume Mousse Extra 17 (CAD $19.70)
I typically don't curl my hair because one, I'm lazy, and two, no amount of hairspray or mousse can hold onto my curls. To test this mousse out, I worked it into my hair while it was still slightly damp. Then I styled my hair with a curling wand, and I was out the door! By the end of the day, my waves were still intact, my hair didn't feel sticky or heavy, and there was no residual flakes coming out of my hair. I was super impressed with the result, and I actually can't wait to curl my hair again!
So I have to say, I am SO impressed with this brand and am so grateful for Brandbacker and Kenra for giving me a chance to try Kenra Professional hair products! I just hope I can purchase Kenra products in Toronto because I am O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D.
