When I received the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara (CAD $9.96) from Influenster, I was quite intrigued and a little skeptical about trying this as I have only ever used one mascara by Revlon (Lash Potion Volume + Length Mascara), and I was not too impressed with it. Did this product change my mind about Revlon mascaras? Keep reading to find out!
The Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara claims to have an "innovative formula [that] combines fibers and 360 degree tube technology in one step to plump and extend lashes."
It is also said to be:
The Revlon Mega Multiplier mascara comes in a two-colour plastic tube - the bottom is a matte black with micro sparkles which you can only see when you look very closely, and the top is a shiny blue. The tube is in the shape of a flattened cylinder. The thing I love the most about the packaging is the 'click' the lid makes when twisted shut. This ensures that the lid is tightly closed, preventing the mascara from drying out faster.
The wand of this mascara is like any classic mascara wand, but it is tapered at the end, which is perfect for the inner and outer corner lashes. The bristles are full and evenly dispersed along the wand, allowing an even application of the product on the lashes. I typically apply two to three layers of this mascara, and my lashes never look clumpy or spidery.
First off, it provides my lashes with insane length AND volume, which is what I look for in a mascara. My natural lashes are both average in volume and length, and when I apply this mascara, I look like I have on natural-looking false lashes.
Second, this mascara does not smudge or flake throughout the day, which is another important factor I look for in my mascaras. It lasts all day without a speck or smudge on my under eye. However, this mascara has only average power in holding the curl of my lashes. At the end of the day, my lashes are left with a slight curl.
I am so impressed and in love with this mascara! I might like this mascara just as much as my current favourite, the L'oreal Paris Voluminous Miss Manga Rock Waterproof Mascara (CAD $9.96).
I love how Revlon is so honest with its claims. If you notice at the beginning of this post, Revlon claims that this mascara is "water resistant" and "removes easily with warm water". This is absolutely true! This mascara is water resistant, meaning it's able to resist some of the effects of water, but not entirely. Note that this mascara is not waterproof. This allows the product to be long-lasting while still being capable of being removed with water.
I would recommend this mascara to anyone and everyone!
