Colourpop Cosmetics really has taken the makeup world by storm - their products are absolutely incredible for their prices, and they just keep coming out with new products that awe every makeup lover! I remember how amazed I was during my first encounter with CP products two years ago, and now I feel like their products have gotten even better while still remaining affordable for all.
During the months of March and April, Colourpop had a number of great sales that really caught my attention. I ended up making two separate orders (with no customs fees for both purchases, thank goodness)! Since I've already tried out a few products I've gotten, this post will also contain mini reviews for the products I've already dug into.
My Little Pony Palette (USD $16)
What drew me to this palette were the bright metallic shades. I love a good shimmer shadow and since summer is right around the corner (sort of, in Canada), these fun shades will help create the perfect look for a bright and sunny day!
Dream St. Palette (USD $16)
Kathleen Lights steals the show again with another amazing Colourpop collab! The shades in this palette are so unique alone, but when combined make the most beautiful colour-blocking eye looks. The shadows are long-lasting, pigmented, and blendable, much like the higher end eyeshadows I own.
Pressed Powder Shadows (USD $5)
I got the shades Paper Tiger, Tea Garden, Team Captain, Sideline, and Beam Me Up (L-R). I love Colourpop pressed shadows, and these shades are super unique in my collection. I have a few spots left in my magnetic palette, so if you have any suggestions on your favourite CP shadows, let me know down in the comments!
Supernova Shadow in Moon Lit (USD $7)
Right when I saw these glitter beauties, I knew I had to get my hands on them! These remind me so much of the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow shadows that I'm obsessed with. The metallic base coupled with the intense glitter might make these the perfect dupe for the Stila glitters that everyone was talking about for the past year.
No Filter Concealer in Light Neutral 15 and Medium 30 (USD $6)
This is hands down the best "drugstore"/affordable concealer I've ever used! Colourpop did such an amazing job at creating a wide range of shades to include all skintones. These concealers are creamy and super blendable. Set it with a bit of powder, and you have a creaseless, full-coverage, and flawless face!
Super Star Loose Pigment in Honey Pot (USD $5)
FUNNY STORY: In my first CP order, I had ordered the Luster Dust in Gnomie and received a Super Star Loose Pigment in the shade Honey Pot instead. However, when I checked the website, the shade Honey Pot is a true silver! So now, I have no idea which shade I have, but I have to say, it's so insanely gorgeous that I'm glad CP had sent me the wrong product. I just wish I knew the name of it!
Luster Dust Loose Highlighter in Gnomie (USD $7)
I re-ordered Gnomie in my second haul which thankfully, did arrive safely in my hands. When compared to the mystery highlight mentioned above, Gnomie applies much more smoothly (without all the glitter) and is less intense and blinding. I really enjoy how smooth this looks on my cheekbones, and I'm so glad this still ended up in my collection!
Ultra Satin Lip in Point Zero and Strip (USD $6.50)
Colourpop Ultra Satin Lips are my favourite CP liquid lip formula - they're super comfortable on the lips and dry down so beautifully (not a full matte, but not glossy). Point Zero (which is a Kathleen Lights collab shade) is a very unique taupe-y brown with a hint of grey (I seriously cannot describe this colour because it's so unique), and Strip is a warmer brown-nude.
Lux Lipsticks in Lay Over, Still Crazy, Pinkies Up, and Uno Mas (USD $7)
Everything about these lipsticks feel luxurious from the heavy rose gold packaging to the printed star details on the lipstick. These swatch so beautifully, I can't wait to start putting them to good use!
I gotta say, I am so impressed with the quality of Colourpop products! After one whole year of not picking up anything from them (I got charged an insane amount of customs every time I had received my orders last year), I'm so glad I got my hands on some of their new products. I feel like Colourpop is a brand that keeps coming out with new products, but their quality is never compromised; instead, it keeps improving, but still remains affordable for all. Amazing work Colourpop, I'm such a huge fan!
