For the past month, I've been on a makeup-buying rampage, which is great for me and my collection, but very unfortunate for my bank account. There have been so many amazing beauty releases in the past few months that I just couldn't help myself.
I'm super excited about all the products I've picked up, so I thought I'd put together a post to show ya'll all the goodies I got the past month!
Kylie Cosmetics Matte Lip Kits (USD $29)
If ya'll know me, then you know I can never resist a good sale. So when Kylie Cosmetics had their BOGO free sale on their lip kits, I had to pick a few up! Believe it or not, this is actually my first time trying out her lip kits - I've only ever tried her liquid lipsticks from the Koko K Kollection - so I'm super excited to use both the liner and liquid lip together!
I picked up the shades:
Mac Cosmetics Patrickstarrr Floral Realness Full Face Kit in Me So Chic (CAD $59.50)
To say that this set is a good deal would honestly be the understatement of the year - it's a FANTASTIC, AMAZING, EVERY GOOD WORD YOU CAN THINK OF deal! This set comes with all full-size products including a lipstick, lipglass, eyeshadow quad, and powder blush duo.
At first, I was going to miss out on this collaboration because I was technically supposed to be on a no-buy (which I am now on!), but the price for this set was way too good to pass up.
Mac Cosmetics Nicopanda Lipglass in Panda Kiss (CAD $22.50)
Another very impulsive buy, but I couldn't help myself! The iridescent shimmer in this gloss is just too beautiful to not be in my growing gloss collection! Plus, the packaging is way too cute to turn my back on - if I had my way, I would've picked up every product in the Nicopanda collection just for the packaging.
Mac Cosmetics Plushglass in Pretty Plush (CAD $14.40)
A beautiful wet-looking and high-shine gloss, Pretty Plush has been one of my go-to glosses for my everyday work-appropriate makeup looks. It has the prettiest micro-shimmer, making my lips look even more full and hydrated.
Mac Cosmetics Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in Grand Galaxy and Stylishly Merry (CAD $26)
Funny enough, these two shades were actually on-sale in-stores, which is why I picked them up. I own one other Extra Dimension shadow in the shade Legendary Lure, and I remember being obsessed with the formula, so I knew I had to pick these two shades up as well since they were both 40% off!
Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette in Smokey and Gemstone* (CAD $35)
After trying out the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk* eyeshadow palette, I had to get my hands on more Huda Beauty eyeshadows - their shadow formula is just so amazing! I picked out the Smokey palette 110% because of the intense silver shade and the Gemstone palette because of all the unique and foiled-looking shadows.
Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder* (CAD $55)
After hearing so many people rave about this powder, I knew I had to try it out for myself. This is my first-ever Hourglass product, and I must say, I'm pretty impressed with it so far. The powder is so finely-milled and soft to the touch - it feels so luxurious, and an in-depth review will definitely be coming your way very soon!
Fenty Beauty Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Duo in Sandcastle/Mint'd Mojito* (CAD $44)
I had been so excited about Fenty Beauty's summer collection since I first saw the news, so of course I had to go in-stores the morning the collection became available and pick something out. I went straight to her highlighters because believe it or not, I still had not gotten my hands on one (shocking right?!). I ended up picking up the lightest of the three, and I'm so excited to put Mint'd Mojito (the blue shade) to good use!
Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Spoiler Alert and In Bloom* (CAD $28)
Smashbox liquid lips are one of the best ones on the market - they're opaque with one-two swipes, not drying and crumbly, and feel weightless on the lips. I've been meaning to grow my collection since they've now come out with so many new shades, and with the Vlada collaboration now on the market as well, I really had to control myself and not pick up all the ones I wanted!
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea H2O Lip Gloss in Bahamas* (CAD $23)
Being on a crazy gloss kick recently, I had to pick up one of the new Tarte H2O lipglosses and Bahamas was the perfect shade with its mauve-tones and iridescent shimmer. The H2O in the name also got me because it just sounds so intriguing - a water-based lipgloss? Yes please!
Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lip Gloss in Naked Plum* (CAD $32)
I've never tried any Bobbi Brown lip products before, so I figured now's the time to try something new! This gloss is so shiny and wet-looking on the lips, but not sticky at all, making this one of my go-to glosses since I've added it to my collection.
Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Liquid Color Balm in 12 Chase Me Nude* (CAD $39)
The crown of "the most unique gloss I have ever used in my life" defiitely goes to the YSL Color Balm. The formula feels like straight-up water when applied to the lips. It gives your lips a gorgeous tint of colour while intensely hydrating them. The smell of this is also so good to the point where I feel like I'm getting luxuriously pampered just by applying this onto my lips.
You've finally made it to the end of my insanely long haul, and now I am officially on a no-buy until July (maybe even August if I can last that long). There are so many products I picked up that I can't wait to dig into, and I'm sure you'll be hearing about some of these in future monthly favourites posts!
