I bought my first Make Up Forever eyeshadow trio three years ago during the spring VIB sale and have been in love with them ever since. When the Artist Palette Volume 1 (CAD $52, now $29) came out, I quickly snagged it because I love neutral and shimmery shadows, and I knew MUFE shadows never disappoint.
I can't believe that the Artist Palette Volume 1 is now on sale! Do I regret purchasing it at its full price? Is it worth picking this palette up now that it's on sale? Keep reading to find out!

There are nine shades in the MUFE Artist Palette Volume 1. These shadows range from metallics to satins. However, the one down-side to this palette is that there are no matte blending shades. This deters me from taking this palette with me when I travel since I like to bring one palette that has every shadow I need whether it be shades for my crease or inner-corner highlight.
From top - bottom, left to right:
I-528 (Pearl), I-514 (Pink Ivory), ME-512 (Golden Beige)
S-556 (Taupe Gray), D-562 (Taupe Platinum), ME-644 (Iced Brown)
S-102 (Onyx), I-544 (Pink Granite), D-652 (Celestial Earth)
The shadows in this palette come in a matte cardboard packaging, which I'm not a huge fan of. The front packaging is pretty cool, with the lips popping out of the cover. The palette closes magnetically, and the magnets are very secure. There is a decent-sized mirror inside the palette. Each eyeshadow is 0.06 oz.
The nine shadows come in four finishes: satin, iridescent, diamond, and metallic. All four of these finishes are AMAZING. There are absolutely no quality differences between the finishes - they're equally high in pigmentation.
When packing on any of these shades, I like to spray some Mac Fix + on my brush to make it even more intense. There is no fallout with these shadows, whether I spray Fix+ on my brush or not. They last about 5-6 hours on my lids before I notice any fading (I prime and set my lids prior to applying any eye makeup).
These shadows are incredibly buttery and smooth, which is what makes them so pigmented and blendable. As I mentioned before, there are no matte shades in this palette, so I always have to pull other shadows in to blend. These shadows blend so well into the matte shades to create a seamlessly blended eye look.
This palette is a must-have for those who love shimmer shadows. I wouldn't recommend this palette for traveling, but to use on a daily basis while sitting at your makeup table, this is a must! The sale price is absolutely amazing, and add on the VIB discount? I would even go as far as to pick up two of these.
