Can you guys believe it's April already?! I swear it was only last week we celebrated New Years and made New Years resolution!
I'm currently finishing my last term of graduate school, so my schedule's been super hectic. However, seeing that I missed last month's favourites post, I had to make time for a March beauty faves post for ya'll! So without further ado, let's see what I've been loving for the month of March!
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation* (USD $7.99)
A month ago, I was on a real foundation kick since none of my current foundations matched my skintone (thanks to the Canadian winters). I was researching formulas and comparing prices, and I finally settled for the Maybelline Fit Me since it was on sale at my local drugstore.
I previously had this foundation in my collection two years back, but never repurchased it because I didn't think it was all that special. However, this time around, I was blown away by the formula of the Matte + Poreless. Many matte foundations tend to accentuate my dry spots and texture in the winter season, but this one did neither! It kept my skin softly matte all day without breaking up or fading. The coverage is also amazing (a little goes a long way), and the price is just right! What more can you ask for in a foundation?!
Colourpop No Filter Concealer (USD $6)
Another amazing product at just the right price is the Colourpop No Filter Concealer. It's extremely lightweight on the skin, but has such intense coverage at the same time. It blends so easily and doesn't crease or cake up, no matter how much you put on. The lasting power of this concealer is so insane - after a long day, it literally looks exactly the same as when I first applied it in the morning! If you'd like to see a comparison post of my favourite concealers, let me know down in the comments!
Urban Decay The Illuminizer Translucent Powder* (CAD $39)
If you follow me on Instagram, I'm sure you've heard me rave about this powder relentlessly for the past couple of weeks. Since I use a matte foundation, I'm always looking for a powder that will set and lock my makeup in place while still giving my complexion a luminous and airbrushed finish. Well, this powder does all that PLUS it's in a stunning compact. Everyone I've recommended this powder to raves about it, and if you give this powder a test, I bet you will to!
Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara* (USD $8.99)
It takes a lot to impress me in the mascara department, and I've been using only the Maybelline Lash Sensational for the past month and a half, which means this mascara is pretty darn amazing! I love how the brush is curled so that it follows the curl of my lashes. It does an amazing job at separating, lengthening, and volumizing my lashes. The only complaint I have with this is that once the formula dries down a bit after a month of use, it starts to get a bit clumpy, both on my lashes and in the tube. However, because this mascara is accessible and goes on sale fairly frequently at my local drugstores, I can easily replace it once it begins to get clumpy.
Rimmel Oh My Lip Gloss in My Eternity* (USD $6.79)
I've had this gloss for ages now (it's even in its old school packaging and original name), and I never really reached for it until this past month. I've been super into layering a gloss on top of tinted lip balms, and this Rimmel gloss is perfect for that! It's super glossy with a hint of mauve and shimmer, making it the perfect MLBB lipgloss whether you wear this on its own or on top of a nude lip.
Sephora Collection PRO Fan Brush #65* (CAD $35)
I normally don't incorporate brushes into my favourites posts, but I had to talk about this one because I've been loving the way it makes my highlighter look. My highlight has never looked so blended and smooth until I began using this fan brush.
How I use this is I take the upper portion of one side of the brush, dip it into my highlighter a few times, and apply it back and forth and up and down on the tops of my cheekbones to achieve my desired glow. This brush picks up just the right amount of product to give my complexion a natural glow. If I'm feeling like I want to glow to the universe, I just apply a couple more layers, and I'm good to go!
We have come to the end of my March beauty favourites! If you're reading this, I applaud you because that was the longest post I've ever written.
I'm always looking for amazing beauty products on the market, so please do let me know what you've been loving for the month of March down in the comments!
