I can't believe it's already the end of October! The weather is definitely getting cooler here in Canada, which means cozy sweaters, vampy lips, candles, and Christmas!
I have been extremely focused on my skin and making it look as smooth and airbrushed as possible, so as a forewarning, there are quite a few face products in this post.
So without further ado, here are my October favourites!
FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in shade 260

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer in Medium Light Neutral
Price: ＄ ＄ ＄ ❏ ❏

The Fenty foundation (CAD $42) has quickly become my holy grail foundation! It mattifies me without making my complexion look flat and cakey. Oddly enough, it almost gives my skin a soft but matte glow, if that makes sense. It's extremely long-wearing, full-coverage, and doesn't break up in my t-zone like a lot of foundations do. A full review on this foundation can be found here.
I can't believe I haven't tried the Urban Decay concealer (CAD $35) earlier. It is so full-coverage yet extremely lightweight. It doesn't crease or settle into any of my fine lines. Most importantly, it doesn't look cakey, no matter how much I put on. It is pricey for the amount you get, so I would only recommend purchasing this if you are looking to splurge on a concealer. A good dupe for this concealer is the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer.
Simple Glam Girls Lush Rose Gold Oval Makeup Brush - Size A

Tarte Bronze & Glow Contour Brush

Before Simple Glam Girls had sent me their oval brushes set, I had never tried using these toothbrush/hairbrush looking tools. I had previously heard how great the Artis brushes were, but I was never intrigued enough to purchase one myself. When I received the set, I wasn't too fond of how thin the handle is since it made blending quite difficult. After putting it down for a few months, I picked the Size A (USD $20.97) back up one day and decided to hold on to the brush head itself instead of the thin and flat handle. Boy did this technique change my life! This brush doesn't soak up any liquid products like the average buffing brush does, so I'm able to save a ton of foundation in the long-run. It is so soft and helps blend my foundation seamlessly into my skin. If you're interested in purchasing this brush (or any other brushes from Simple Glam Girls), you can save 20% with my discount code: "makemeup".
I purchased the Tarte Bronze & Glow Contour Brush (CAD $41) about a year ago, used it and loved it for a while, then put it aside to try other bronzing brushes. After picking this back up this month, I have re-fallen in love with this brush. I typically do not use the side with the small brush; the side with the large brush is perfect for bronzing the skin while giving my cheekbones a light and natural contour. It's soft enough to precisely place and blend my bronzer, but not so soft that it'll spread the powder to areas I don't want to bronze.
Marcelle Face Powder in Translucent Medium
Price: ＄ ＄ ❏ ❏ ❏
Can be purchased on: https://www.beautyboutique.ca/Categories/Makeup/Face/Powder/Face-Powder/p/M601?variantCode=056599610502
I purchased the Marcelle powder (CAD $15.95) after my roommate recommended it to me. First off, the amount of product you get for the price is ridiculously amazing. I apply this with a big fluffy brush all over my face to set all the liquid products into place. This powder mattifies my face without making it look cakey or emphasizing any pores or imperfections. I don't notice any major fading after setting my face with this, and my foundation doesn't rub off as easily (especially on the bottom section of my face) as it does when I set it with a pressed powder. I would recommend this product to everyone looking for a great and inexpensive setting powder!
Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Give Me Sun!

Can be purchased on: https://www.maccosmetics.ca/product/13849/30734/products/makeup/face/powder/mineralize-skinfinish-natural#/shade/Give_Me_Sun%21
Again, Mac Give Me Sun (CAD $38) is a product that I had purchased months ago, but never really got into using it as I was too fair for it at that time. After getting incredibly tanned in September, I decided to bring it out to give it a try. This bronzer has a warm undertone, which is super flattering on my medium neutral-warm skintone. It applies so smoothly and has a slight sheen to it, making the skin look super healthy and sunkissed. I'm fairly sad to be putting this away soon since my tan is starting to fade as the cold weather is settling in.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
Price: ＄＄ ❏ ❏ ❏
Can be purchased on: https://www.sephora.com/product/everlasting-love-liquid-lipstick-P384954?skuId=1552413&icid2=products%20grid:p384954
Remember when this liquid lip was all the hype last year? I had literally set my alarm to wake up in the middle of the night to purchase this because I knew by the time I woke up in the morning, it would be out of stock. Kat Von D Lolita (CAD $24) has got to be my all-time favourite liquid lipstick. It's a gorgeous rose-brown shade with a hint of plum, perfect for the fall season. Although it can sometimes be patchy, the colour and formula is so amazing that it makes up for it. All I have to do is apply a second layer of it and since the formula is so comfortable, that second layer doesn't clump up or feel heavy.

Aldo Accessories Serraro Gold Aviators

Since majority of those who voted on my Instagram poll said they'd like to read about my fashion and lifestyle loves, I've included a few in this post!
First is the Jo Malone London Basil & Neroli Cologne (CAD $90). I originally got this deluxe sample with a promo code on the Sephora website for my boyfriend since I thought it was a cologne (for men). However when I smelled it, I realized this scent is for the ladies, and thank goodness it is because I LOVE this scent. It smells really fresh but with a hint of floral. I'm currently trying to salvage this mini bottle since this perfume is insanely expensive.
Next up is the Aerie bralette (CAD $13.81) I got on sale on their website. I was immediately attracted to this because of the colour. I love a bright mint, and coupled with the lace, I just couldn't say no! It is so comfortable to wear, whether at home or when you have a long day. At first, I wasn't used to having the halter tug on my neck, but I quickly got used to it since everything else about it was so comfortable. I'd highly recommend checking out Aerie bralettes - especially the ones on sale!
Lastly are my oversized Aldo sunglasses (CAD $16). These immediately caught my eye in the summer. I love any aviators that are reflective and a bonus is that it's a beautiful rose gold. These glasses are so high quality - the lenses are very thick and the entire frame is very sturdy. These are great dupes for the Quay aviators!
That's it for my October favourites! I'd love to know what you've been loving for the month of October, so come say hi and leave me your favourites down in the comments!
